Summer is here and to celebrate we?d like to introduce you to our newest culinary creation ? The Full Minty. Grilled lean lamb pattie, beetroot, rocket, tomato, spanish onion, herbed mayo and the star of the show - Mint Jelly. That?s right, Mint Jelly. Think Sunday roast but with a summer freshness that won?t disappoint.

Don?t ask us how, but the combination of rocket, beetroot and mint jelly on this burger manages to work a treat. Available now for a good time, not a long time. Try it out and let us know what you think!

In Mo's We Trust

Movember is well and truly done for another year and most of you have more than likely farewelled the mo's by now.

But before you completely place Movember 2010 in the rear view mirror we wanted to share with you a little clip we pulled together of the fun times had in your local Grill'd during Movember 2010. Will it win an Oscar? Unlikely, but the stars of the clip, the dedicated Mo Bros and Sistas who visited us every day deserve a gold statue in our opinion. In Mo's We Trust

Every dog has its day.......

K.W.Doggett Fine Paper launched its 2011 calendar last night at The Compound Interest, Centre for Applied Arts in Collingwood. We were lucky enough to be invited along to pull-up out front with the Grill?d Airstream and provide some burger love to those in attendance.

Blog 1

This year, K.W.Doggett Fine Paper collaborated with the Jacky Winter Group who chose 12 talented artists to illustrate the calendar and bring it to life. For 2011, the brief was to get crazy, experiment, and push the design and print boundaries. The result is a colourful and witty calendar that is a play on dog related phrases.

It?s fair to say the calendar designs (and the burgers) went down a treat.

Ain't no party like a Grill'd Christmas party

Here at Grill'd we love a party. Any excuse will do. Any opportunity to let our hair down, throw on a costume and dance like there's no tomorrow, then we'll be there. Given it's the silly season, these opportunities are coming thick and fast, but there are parties, and then there are PARTIES!!

The Grill'd staff party held last night certainly falls into the latter category, as we took our famous fancy dress Christmas shindig up another notch or two.

Serial killers, circus performers, commandos and sailors (to name but a few) came together to celebrate 2010 - Grill'd style.

The Battle of St Kilda Beach

It wasn't quite the D-Day landing at Normandy, but nonetheless a battle did go down at St Kilda Beach yesterday. A live art battle. The Grill'd Airstream brought the Burger Love Tour to the beach, with the crew at Secret Wars putting on a live art show for the locals to enjoy.

Blog 1

On a picture-perfect St Kilda Sunday the Grill'd Airstream kept the crowd nourished with free burgers while Pierre Lloga and Deb went to work on their artistic interpretation of "Burger Love at the Beach". Pierre was declared the crowd favourite on the day (that's his work on the left in the image below), but as you can see, the love was all around with the artists collaborating on their pieces. Thanks to everyone who pulled up a patch of grass on the day, chilled out for 90 minutes, and watched two of our finest street artists ply their trade.

Burger Love in the city.....

Thankyou weather gods. That's all we can say. Melbourne weather can be fickle at the best of times, but when it's pouring rain and you've got 2 Secret Wars street artists teed up to strut their stuff outdoors, using only black markers and paint, you start getting a little nervous. Paint and rain don't mix. Well they kind of do, but not in a good way....

Luckily someone upstairs heard our cries and the 90 minutes of free love during Burger Love Tour down at Southbank yesterday was bathed in sunshine. The Grill'd Airstream provided the burger love to hungry lunch-time locals, while Drew Funk and Scale went head to head on the wall to apply their artisitc interpretation of "Burger Love in the city".

The art battle was a close one, with both artists bringing their distinctive styles to the wall. Scale was declared the winner on the day with his "Burgzilla" creation (below) tipping the crowd vote in his favour. And just as the paint was drying on the furious battle, you guessed it, the weather turned again and the heavens opened. Timing is everything.

Farewell Thy Mo

The time has come. Summer is here. It's time to lose the Movember lip coat. Like many a modern man, here at Grill'd we've been cultivating our Mo's for the last month. Today was the day to say goodbye, so we popped on the Grill'd Race team suits, fired up the Grill'd Kombi and headed on down to the local barber for a shave.

blog2

Dave and the team at Royal Crown Barbers kindly offered their services to shave off our upper lip artwork. Bringing out the cut-throat blades made us stir in our barber chair a little, but Dave and his team made light work of our Mo's.

blog5

The cut-throat shave is a dying art form, so if you're a modern gentleman and haven't treated yourself to such an experience, make sure you do so. And after a full month of mo-growing you might feel a little naked after the shave (we certainly did), but fear not, it's only another 11 months before you can start growing the mo and donating your face to men's health.
