Uni?s back!

To kick off the year, we?ve formed the Burger Appreciation Student Society. To be a card-carrying member of the Grill?d Burger Appreciation Student Society, all you need to have is a valid Student ID and a good soul.

Burger Appreciation Student Society

We?re here to support members through the first week of uni and the rest of the year. To kick things off, check out some special member-only perks:

Shout a New Friend a Burger

Bring a new buddy to any Grill?d restaurant & flash your student ID between Monday, February 28th-Friday, March 4th. Burgers are 2 for 1 this week, so no big deal if your new buddy turns out to be a dud!

Here at Grill'd, we're keen to help you with your studies. That's why we've come up with the Burger Scholarship - a year's worth of free burgers designed to help lucky students give their all at Uni.

To be awarded this amazing prize, all you have to do is show us why your studies are the ones we should support. For more information & to submit your entries, visit our Facebook page HERE. Best entry, as judged by the Grill?d Burger Scholarship review panel, wins. Good luck, your time starts now!

Good things come in small packages...

Or so the saying goes. We couldn?t agree more.

That?s why we?ve gone all out and released a limited edition Mini-Me tin lunchbox that is sure to be the must have fashion accessory of 2011 in schoolyards and workplace lunchrooms.

Lunch Boxes

It?s fair to say the arrival of the lunchbox caused a stir in here at Burger Base, with everyone keen to get their hands on one. So we put the challenge out ? sure, the lunchbox is perfect for our Mini Me Pack, but what else can it do?

Chris decided it made a great fruit bowl:

Shwetank worked out it conveniently fitted a six pack of beer:

Marie thought it made a pretty flower pot (nice work):

Shane, our resident singlet wearer, found it was perfect as a tool box:

The tin lunchbox is only $2 with the purchase of any Mini Me Pack (for kids 7 & under) at your local Grill?d. But we all know there?s an inner child lurking inside us all, for some of us it?s a little closer to the surface (here at Grill?d we have a tendency to jump in puddles wherever possible). That?s why we?re also making the Mini-Me tins available for big kids to purchase for the princely sum of only $7.

A small price to pay for some big fun.

A tough day at Burger Base...

Sometimes life can be tough here at Burger Base. Real tough. Like yesterday, when our friends at Little Creatures Brewery called up and invited us down to their dining hall for a beer ?education? class. We couldn?t possibly say no (that would be plain rude), so we jumped at the opportunity to gain a little insight into the craft of beer making & tasting.

Turns out they take the quality of their beers pretty seriously at Little Creatures, taking pride in each and every brew. Burgers and beers go together like rock and roll, so to find a team who are as passionate about their craft as we are was pleasing indeed.

Peter was the man to take our hand and lead us into the wonderful world of beer appreciation. Like any serious educator he was sporting a serious mo and cap that made him look much smarter than any of us. From pilsener to pale ale, we sampled the range of brews and discussed the finer points of each brew. A top day all round.

The great news is that if you pop your head into the beer fridge at your local Grill?d you too can savour the hard work of the Little Creatures team. Let the appreciation begin.
