The stories behind the mo

We've been busy here at Burger Base since Movember wrapped up for 2009. For starters, we've had to shave off the upper lip artwork we had all carefully cultivated over the last month. Some were happy to be free of the Mo, whilst others parted with their mo's regretfully. One staff member even took bereavement leave over his loss, such is our dedication to the cause!

Aside from whipping out the razors, we've also been busy asking all our Mo Bros for some feedback on their local Grill'd experience during Movember. Thanks to everyone for your comments. As a special treat we've included some of the funnier responses below:

"Walking into Grill'd to pick up my MoBro burgers was like visiting a biker bar back in the 1970's. The place was wall to wall with fully furred MoBro's all with silly grins on their faces cause they were chompin into free burgers... It was a bit scary actually. Well done Grill'd. I thank you from the bottom of my prostate.”

“I loved getting burger bits stuck in my mo! Made it last a little longer!”

“I'm sure it wasn't difficult for the Grill'd team to keep a smile on their face with all the comical appearances they were confronted with, but I thoroughly enjoyed popping in to get my burger. It was a real boost to have that level of support and to be part of the congregation of mo bros queuing out the door! Thank you to all involved.”

“I had never been to Grill'd before Movember, and even though the horde of moustached men made it look more like a gay bar than a burger bar I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the burger, and more importantly the friendliness of the staff.”

There you have it, evidence from some of our Mo Bro’s that Grill'd was indeed a haven for Mo Bros throughout the month. A place where men regardless of age, race or mo growing ability could come together for a common cause and enjoy a damn fine burger (on us of course).

Thumbs Up!
