Grill’d can confirm that a staff member at our Highpoint store has tested positive for COVID-19.

Our number one priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers and keeping them and the wider community safe.

What we can confirm is that the staff member last worked on Saturday 13 June. We understand they were tested on Wednesday and received confirmation of a positive test on the morning of Saturday 20 June, when they informed us.

We immediately informed the Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 hotline and all 10 staff who worked the same shift to self isolate at home. Despite DHHS advising of a relatively low risk due to the timeline, we took the decision to undertake a deep clean of the store on the Saturday night in line with our own strict protocols.

We’re continuing to work closely with DHHS to support any contact tracing efforts and to ensure the health and safety of all our staff and customers. We continue to encourage anyone in the community feeling unwell to stay home, stay safe and call 1800 675 398.
