Having a child that is sick born prematurely can be emotionally tolling and traumatic.

In Australia, 48,000 babies are admitted into neonatal intensive and special care units every year. Unfortunately, this translates to over 115 admissions every day.

Luckily, there are amazing foundations doing what they can to help.  Life’s Little Treasures Foundation was founded in 2005 and aims to provide unfailing support and information to families of children premature and sick.

This year, Grill’d is partnering up with this awesome foundation through Local Matters to lend a helping hand at a number of fundraising activities.

Life’s Little Treasures create ‘Parent Hospital Resource Folders’, which are a vital resource for any family. The folders are designed to assist families by offering information about the NICU and Special Care. Members of the Grill’d team are getting involved to help pack these folders.

On the 23rd of October, Life’s Little Treasures are hosting the ‘Walk for Prems’, which is being held at Albert Park. This event aims to raise much needed funds to provide services to families of premature and sick babies.

Grill’d staff will be involved in creating the registration packs, which are being distributed to participants. Additionally, the Grill’d Airstream will be rolling on over to serve burgers to participants. The whole day is volunteer run and all the proceeds will be going to Life’s Little Treasures.

To get involved and help out you can sign up for the walk here; and get down to Albert Park on the 23rd of October for a stroll and a burger.

We look forward to seeing you there!
