Guide Dogs W.A. not only enhance mobility, independence and quality of life for people living with blindness or vision impairment, but they provide companionship and inclusion in the community.
Guide Dogs support their users’ mobility by:
• Negotiating obstacles
• Stopping when there’s a change in surface level, such as a kerb or set of stairs
• Locating doors, seats and pedestrian buttons at traffic lights
• Locating the destinations that their handler uses regularly – just to name a few
To celebrate International Guide Dog Day, on Wednesday 26 April Grill’d Brookfield Place will be donating $3 from every burger purchased to Guide Dogs W.A. These funds will be put towards helping purchase boots to protect the dogs paws from hot footpaths and provide reliable grip.
On top of this, Guide Dogs W.A. are participating on the Local Matters jars in Perth CBD restaurants throughout the entire month of April with the hopes of winning a total of $600!
Pup into Grill’d on April 26th, buy a burger and help us support Guide Dogs W.A.
