Grill’d Rockingham lends a helping hand

  • Local Matters

During the month of February, the team at Grill’d Rockingham showed off their skills and helped provide food to the homeless.

St Brendan’s Homeless Respite provide physical and emotional support to those experiencing homelessness. This is done by providing food, living items and bathroom facilities at a community hall every Friday.

To help say a massive thank for all their hard work, team members from Grill’d Rockingham made their way down to the community hall one Friday to help out.

Between 9am & 2pm the team set up, cooked, served and then packed up at the end of the day. The team emphasized how humbling it was to meet those experiencing homelessness and hear about their stories.

During the month of February, St Brendan’s Homeless Respite participated on the Local Matters jars, where they took out first place and received a donation of $300. This donation will be used to purchase hot meals for the homeless.
