Hoppy Easter to all burger lovers right across Australia!
Some great news for you too – unlike that mate of yours who is nicking off for a long weekend getaway...we won’t desert you over the Easter break.
All Grill’d restaurants (with the exception of Doncaster VIC, Chermside QLD & Carindale QLD that are closed Good Friday) are grilling right across the Easter long weekend.
We’ve even got it sorted if you have a ‘Good Friday, Good Burger’ craving with our veggie burger menu.
Plus, no annoying public holiday surcharges.
Hoppy Easter everyone!

Today is a pretty big one for Grill’d! We are introducing the newest members of our Grill’d burger family to you! We tried to have the momentous occasion marked by the introduction of an Australian Public Holiday so we could remember this great day in burger history, but Gillard never wrote back...
We have 3 NEW burgers on the menu, and as hard as it is to believe, not one celebrity chef was involved in their creation!
EVERYONE is a ‘foodie’ these days - reviewing, instagramming, facebooking, tweeting and blogging about their dinner . It’s pretty tiresome. Who do we have to thank for this “Foodie Fatigue?” Celebrity chefs and reality cooking shows.
We hope you love our new Perfect Pear, Hot Hombre and Goats Cheese & Hummus burgers. Foodies love them but we really don’t care what they have to say...because we made these delicious burgers for YOU.
If anyone happens to see a celebrity chef sneaking into Grill’d to try one of our amazing new burgers, please DO take a snapshot - to capture the disappointment on their face that they didn’t dream up such a delectable burger themselves. We’re quite happy for you to blog, tweet, facebook and instagram that!

Not one to brag or try to be the centre of attention BUT...
IT’S OUR 8th BIRTHDAY TODAY!
Yup. The first Grill’d on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn opened its doors 8 years ago today.
Well we didn’t hear back from you with an RSVP (we swear we sent you an invite, must have been lost in the mail), but we went ahead anyway and planned a birthday bash. Come to Grill’d Hawthorn today and help us celebrate the big occasion. Like any great birthday party we have balloons and a damn impressive birthday cake(s).

Uh-oh. We’ve possibly just set up some pretty big expectations on the birthday cake front for anyone that gets a load of this!
Big thanks to our friends at Cupcake Central for baking up these sweet treats. First in best dressed for getting your hands on the cupcakes everyone! We did some quality assurance testing - and they’re really good!
You’re not expected to bring along a present, but if you REALLY want to we wouldn’t turn it down!

Here at Grill’d we want to make a stand. We want to let everyone know that we love school and education and books and...and...customised stationery!
Grill’d recognises the importance of reading stuff to learn stuff - so we want to reward our studious burger lovers for taking their education seriously (are we not racking up some serious brownie points with the parentals right now?)
May Grill’d proudly present...*drum roll please*....
”Burgers for Brains” student treasure hunt!
WIN a $50 Grill’d gift card!
Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be sneaking into university libraries and hiding your ticket to $50 worth of burger lovin’. All YOU have to do is find it...(and all WE have to do is utilise some serious James Bond manoeuvres to get past the eagle-eyed librarians! - probably no weapons or martial arts required).
Make sure yourself and all your study buddies keep an eye on the Grill’d facebook and twitter ...because that is where you’ll be getting details and (some pretty obvious) clues as to where you can find the $50 of burger goodness in your school library.
And let’s be quite honest - with those bulging brains full of knowledge you’ll find it in no time!
‘Healthy burgers, healthy minds’ is what Simon always says (Simon is the guy that started Grill’d).
Here’s a heads up on when we will be hiding some burger love in your state:
Thursday March 2 – VIC (University of Melbourne - Parkville campus)
Friday March 3 – VIC (Deakin University – Burwood campus)
Monday March 5 – QLD (Griffith University – Southbank campus)
Tuesday March 6 – ACT (University of Canberra)
Wednesday March 7 – WA (Edith Cowan University - Joondalup campus)
Thursday March 8 – NSW (University of Sydney - Darlington campus)
Friday March 9 – VIC REGIONAL (La Trobe – Bendigo campus)
Good luck and happy burger hunting!

Ah-ha! We thought something strange was going on.
Lots of people flooding the streets wearing EXACTLY the same thing. An increase in individuals walking around with suspiciously heavy looking backpacks. Packed trains on the way to work.
Then it dawned on us. School. And. Uni. Are. Back.
Don’t be stroppy though about heading back to the classroom. Sure it’s only the beginning of the school year, but it’s also the beginning of something really beautiful...the beginning of a year full of envious amounts of school holidays and student perks!
Special offers are the ultimate upside to being a student (as well as having an excuse not to work full-time). We love our studious burger friends ALMOST as much as we love our burgers. So, of course we’re onboard for lending students a helping hand.
On Mondays & Tuesdays, any student that flashes us their student card gets *a free drink with their burger!
(please note that we will only accept ‘flashing’ for a drink if it is indeed a student card you are showing us - savoury burgers, savoury behaviours!).
Study hard. Play hard. Eat good burgers.

*T&C’s apply (to avoid the incredible ability of students to find a ‘loop-hole’)
23 DEC 11 Fans, supporters and burger lovers,
Grill’d Healthy Burgers will be closing on Christmas day but we will be back better than ever on Boxing Day and open all other days until the New Year (NYE and NYD included!).
In order to feed more hungry shoppers, some locations have had slight changes to operating hours. We suggest checking the trading hours of your local Grill’d in the locations section of our website.
We want to wish you all the best for a happy festive season and prosperous New Year and remember we don’t sneak any surcharges on our food prices on public holidays, it’s un-Australian!

We’ve hit the home stretch! The 2011 Grill’d Movember offer ends this Thursday, November 17 so make sure you don’t miss out!
The response from Mo Bros and Mo Sistas has been inspiring to all involved. A few lucky punters now have their own mo combs and some even have their own personalised combs thanks to the assistance of several highly talented tattoo artists.
All of our team members have been working extra hard to make sure Mo Bros and Mo Sistas get an amazing Grill’d experience each and every visit. If you’ve enjoyed your Grill’d experience as much as we’ve enjoyed looking after you, make sure you let your local Grill’d team know next time you pop in – they’ll appreciate it.
Thousands of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas are helping make 2011 the successful thus far and it’s not too late to make your own contribution. Register with Movember and raise $40 to be entitled to one free burger per day. Our mo-mentus offer runs between 2.00pm and 3.30pm or 8.00pm and 9.30pm until November 17. Dine in essential so we can give you the best Grill’d experience.

19 OCT 11 Another year has passed, October has reached the mid-way point and it’s almost time for Movember! The technical way to describe the word Movember is as a portmanteau of the words 'moustache' and 'November.’ Movember is all about raising awareness and monetary support for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression.
As you prepare your upper-lip for a glorious moustache and we get ready to welcome Mo Bro’s & Mo Sista’s at Grill’d, we thought we’d let you in on the finer details of our Movember offer. So, before moustache season officially begins, please take note of the following…
You’ll need to register with Movember and raise $40 to be entitled to one free burger per day. Our mo-mentus offer runs between 2.00pm and 3.30pm or 8.00pm and 9.30pm each day from November 8-17. Dine in essential so we can give you the best Grill’d experience.
The theme at Grill’d for Movember is a combination of high quality, traditionally made and hand crafted. This theme ties in closely to our Grill’d values and what we try to achieve with every burger made. Hopefully you can taste that it in our burgers (the love, hand crafted goodness and quality, not the Mo – that’s gross).
So, now’s the time to start thinking about how you’ll raise $40 for Movember and planning your moustache of choice for the season. Ready, set, mo…!

16 sep 11 Hello friends! Well we’ve been quiet for a bit but that’s because we’ve been super busy gearing up for summer… and that means it’s almost summer festival time. To kick it off we are super excited to announce our partnership of Parklife Sydney 2011! We love our live music almost as much as our burgers (note the almost…) so to enjoy both at the same time we are bringing along the Grill’d Airstream. You can check out all the details on Parklife here. Banish those two day old dim sims and soggy chips to memories of festivals past because we’ll be there creating the country’s best burgers, prepared fresh and with the highest quality ingredients to keep you fuelled for the day’s frivolities!

We thought it timely to touch base and get you up to speed on some exciting new happenings here at Grill’d in the month of June.
In Victoria we’re getting behind the Feed Melbourne campaign (www.feedmelbourne.org.au), which aims to raise money to help charities collect, store and distribute food to Victorians who are doing it tough. You might be surprised to learn that this year it is estimated 370,000 Victorians will, at some stage, not know when or where their next meal is coming from.
In New South Wales we’re supporting OzHarvest (www.ozharvest.org), a charity that rescues excess food which would otherwise be discarded and delivers meals to charities supporting the vulnerable. Currently in Sydney OzHarvest delivers 150,000 meals per month with a fleet of 7 vans. That’s a lot of meals!
We’d love your help in supporting these amazing charities. So visit your local Grill’d this month and after you’ve ordered your burger, we’ll give you a token (ok, it’s a bottle top). All we ask is that you put your token in one of the 3 jars representing 3 local groups associated with these charities. These groups are at the coal-face of providing much needed support to people who are doing it tough.
By the end of the month, we estimate we’ll have donated well over $20,000 to local charity groups associated with Feed Melbourne and OzHarvest. Not a bad effort.
We hope the jars and tokens will become a regular fixture at Grill’d as part of our Local Matters project, and in future months we’ll be taking the project to other States. Every month our Local Matters trolley will be featuring 3 different local groups who will be asking for your support. And we’ll be stumping up a $500 donation at each Grill’d to share amongst them. If you want to find out more or get your group’s name on one of our jars check out the Local Matters page on our website.

18 apr 11 Yesterdays sunny weather was the perfect setting for the annual "“Run For The Kids"” Fun Run, with 33,000 runners of all abilities descending upon Melbourne’s CBD. Once again we got on board and sponsored Team 100k – a group of amazing individuals who band together to raise as much moolah as possible for the Royal Children’s Hospital. In fact, for the third year running Team 100k will be the highest fundraising team in the event – an amazing effort.
All Team 100k members were invited back to Grill’d Degraves for some post run frivolity and the Grill’d Airstream was on hand in the event village to keep runners and spectators well nourished long after the run was done and dusted.
Thanks to everyone who supported the event.
